One can hardly find the proper adjectives to describe the beauty of Argentina. Though millions of tourists have already visited this country they are still eager to spend their holidays in Argentina. One of the biggest and most populated cities is the capital of the country - Buenos Aires. It has no world famous museums or monuments but it has a unique atmosphere which draws a lot of tourists. Buenos Aires is considered to be the gateway to South America, and at the same time a very spectacular place. Buenos Aires is divided into neighborhoods (they are called barrios), the most popular of them are Recoleta, San Telmo, Palermo, Puerto Madero, La Boca and El Centro. The city is proud of its Catedral Metropolitana, which contains the remains of San Martín, Argentina’s liberator.
During the December to March season Mar del Plata’s sandy beaches are full of visitors. Among interesting sights of the area are Villa Normandy, the Iglesia Stella Maris, the Torre Tanque and the Villa Victoria. The country’s best universities are located in La Plata, which is the capital of the Buenos Aires Province. The colonial past of Santa Fe is reflected in several monuments, such as Monumento Nacional la Bandera and La Semana de la Bandera. Without any doubts the visit to Argentina would be incomplete without seeing the majestic Iguazú Falls – one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. One of the most impressive channels of Iguazu Falls is the Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat). Coming to Argentina do not loose the opportunity to visit the Mendoza Province (main wine-producing region), Córdoba with its colonial architecture, modern buildings of San Juan. All in all Argentina is a country which is worth discovering.
